Winpower G2 is a UPS/PDU monitoring software and system protection software, which can be used for single device monitoring or multiple devices monitoring.
Winpower G2 supports USB/RS232/SNMP/ModbusTCP/MQTT communication methods, real-time monitoring of device status, and timely notification of device abnormalities through pop-up alarm dialog, Emails or SMS.
Winpower G2 supports multi-platform operating systems: Windows/Linux/Mac. Once mains is abnormal, will notify the shutdown software(SPS G2) to safely shut down the critical server or PC and safely shut down the monitoring host itself.
Winpower G2 supports multiple users and permission levels, with clear user rights and responsibilities, Winpower G2 supports different sites setting, these functions make device management more reliable.
Software supports monitoring and protecting remote servers such as VMware Vsphere, IPMI, SSH, SPS, NetApp.

NMC G2 enables user to monitor, manage, and control power environments for multiple devices over the network connection. User can manage UPS with NMC G2 via web browser or via network management software which supports SNMP protocol or Modbus TCP protocol.
Once UPS input is abnormal, NMC G2 will protect server or client operating system being shut down safely by working with system protect software (SPS2) that can be installed on various operating system, NMC will inform SPS2 about the input abnormal and SPS2 will shut down operating system safely according to the setting.
NMC G2 can send email notifications to configured recipients and alert traps to specified SNMP management programs or used as a stand-alone management system.
Please don't downgrade the F/W to versions below V3.1.0.0. Otherwise the card may be stuck due to hardware incompatibility.

SPS2 (System Protect Software ) is system protection software installed on a host. It can works with NMC G2 (Network Monitoring Card) or Winpower G2 (Centralized monitoring software). It associates the power supply with the receiving event alarm to safely shut down the system before the host is powered off, avoiding data damage or loss caused by abnormal power outages.
SPS2 works in background as a system service, and it supports users to view power source settings via a web browser.

WinPower is a new software for UPS monitoring, which provides user-friendly interface to monitor and control your UPS. Important notice: Winpower is using log4j v1.2.14, this version is not supported Log4j2 JNDI features, therefore, it is not affected by the CVE-2021-44228 vulnerability.

NMC is kind of SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) manager to communicate UPS via Ethernet, it provides access information and send commands for the UPS. NMC supports two communicating protocols which are SNMP and HTTP for application. Through NMS (Network Management Station) or web browser user can access UPS information via Ethernet directly, meanwhile user can manage both UPS and NMC parameters as well.
NMC provides an application program which named SPS (System Protect Software) for multi-servers shutdown purpose. The program provides shutdown function for different operating systems when shutdown events are appearing on UPS. Shutdown events are configurable by user. The shutdown software will proceed the automatic shutdown orderly to prevent the abnormal shut-off of the clients or servers.

MCU upgrade in Oct 2018. If old NMC would like to upgrade the
latest version it has to flash FW 2.6.0.5 in advance.
NMC replace PHY chip, add PHY chip driver. If old NMC would like to upgrade the latest version it has to flash FW 3.1.0.0 in advance.

The SPS (System Protect Software) is one utility which communicates with NMC(Network Monitoring Card). SPS provides logs events, notify users of events and protect system to shutdown gracefully. With the SPS, it can save application’s data and documents before system shutdown as well.
SPS has two major components: SPSService and SPSInterface, SPS Service runs in the background as a system service; and SPS Interface is a user interface application that allows the user to tailor the configuration parameters.
